Boston has experienced summer like temperatures this week but the street temperature isn’t the only thing heating up in Boston. The Spring frenzy of students preparing to leave for the summer and find housing for next fall has begun. Students and professionals are scrambling to find the best properties in the most convenient and best neighborhoods they can and at bargain prices. While there is a substantial inventory on the market Summer and September 1 apartment availability is drying up fast.
Areas such as Back Bay and Beacon Hill, the most desirable in the city to live in, are very tight markets. Those looking for summer or Sept 1 move in dates should be prepared to move quickly on any properties they like. Walking away from one of the properties you see early in your search in hopes of finding something better could mean settling for something worse or more expensive when that apartment disappears when you want to ‘think about it’ over the weekend.
Even Fenway and Cambridge markets have been very steady so those looking for an apartment for rent should definitely consider contacting a real estate professional for assistance since many of the good apartments aren’t easy to find or public information. For help with a rental contact one of the professionals at ERA Boston Real Estate Group at 617-901-7600 or Rentals@BostonRealEstate.net. We will help you take the stress out of this process.
